So, new J.J. - There were some interesting elements to the story (man, does J.J. love to crash planes), but I knew about them already from the previews and I found some of the character setups a bit cliche. That being said, I'm going to give it a shot and see how it develops.

OK, there will never, ever be another LOST for us but I like and will continue to watch REVOLUTION
No theorizing but several observations...
The Dad--if you put Castle and Goodwin in a blender and hit mix and all the best parts rose to the surface, this is the actor they chose to play the Dad and of course he is married to Juliet
The Uncle/cousin (<-Miles) if you put Jack, Sawyer, Ethan and Sayid in a blender and hit mix, Billy Burkes character would be the result. Remember he also played Bella's dad so he is use to dealing with transforming teenagers.
Hurley and Aarzt is now Aaron. He use to own Google...omg I was roaring.
Nora-::cough:: Katniss Everdeen ::cough::
The lady whose house the brother ends up in.... remember the agent on the show Jerhico....cloned and sex-changed.
Loved their journey to Chicago. oh no...a plane. No smoke monster for a gnarley group of militia with a brand. Miles took them out Kill Bill style.
Any other observations?
No theories yet. The computer scene at the end all I could think of was TttttllllaaaaW

The scene at the end was very "Michael on the computer in the hatch", not to be confused with "Colonel Mustard in the library with a knife". The fight scene was excellent and I have to give some credit for  ...killing off Juliet immediately, although I think she'll be back in flashback form, which may be palatable. The character conflicts seem a bit formulaic, but it's hard to tell from just one episode how well they will execute that as things develop. High marks for the opening, set up the central mystery and then jump to the aftermath. I'm cautiously optimistic. |

Really enjoyed the premiere episode of Revolution and can not wait for the next to air. The first seven will be on Sept 17, 24th, Oct 1st, 8th, 15th, 29th, and Nov 5th. Nice to see Billy (Miles Matheson / Charlie Swan) Burke on the small screen for a change. Hopefully David (Sebastin Munroe / Vince Faraday aka The Cape) Lyons will find a hit on NBC this time around. Giancarlo (Sidney Glass aka The Magic Mirror) Esposito may not be on Once Upon A Time anymore as he is Tom Neville. I have a feeling that Rachel (Mitchell) Matheson is still very much alive, fighting the good fight, and was the one talking to Grace over the computer at the end of the episode. Hopefully over the first season we will get to know about her character bit by bit as the story unfolds before she arrives on the scene alive and well in the season one finale. She will probably be apart of Charlotte (Charlie) and Danny's everyday life come season two. |

Aaarh...I dunno. Read so many end of civilization as we know it stories...it doesn't seem to stand out yet. Haven't connected with the characters yet either. It does remind me of Jericho a lot, a little of Firefly. Abrams has a knack with story telling, but so far seems kinda safe.

I watched it last night, I like the story line and where the show seems to be going so far. I thought the imagery, acting and dialog(to a lesser degree) needs some work. The first fight scene was sort of pathetic, the second one was decent enough. Those are minor things though, as long as the story stays interesting I'll stay tuned in.

The second fight scene was good and there were some great set pieces. When the girl was sitting in the overgrown Ferris Wheel looking at her box of memorabilia and the first shot of Wrigley field were two scenes that I thought were really cool looking.

Yeah, the world views were great. I just don't think everyone in a post apocalyptic world with no power is going to be so clean and wearing brand new clothes from american apparel or gap and have a really good barber. Also the guy dressed like Morpheus was a little much. That's a pet peeve of mine with some shows, dirty the cast up, make them gritty. People don't look like that now, much less when civilization goes bye bye.

It's NBC so I'm more or less counting on them to screw the pooch in one fashion or another. I was a bit irked by the tailored leather outfits and such, as well.
I'll give it a few episodes to see how they fare.
