I am devastated. Maggie Hambone, our sweet beagle girl whose name I took as my handle here at the SSB, died last night.
When I got up this morning, I found her lying beside my desk in one of her usual napping spots. I thought she was just sleeping, but then realized something wasn't right.
I'm sure going to miss her...I thought I'd give her a little memorial here, since she kindly let me use her name for so many years.
RIP, Mags.

Bye Maggie (the doggie one, not the human one). Thanks for all the smiles you've given over the years (and that's for both Maggies).

RIP maggie, pets never stick around as long as they should.

Thanks, you guys. She sure was a good lil lemon beagle.
I feel so bad for my husband. He's had these beagles longer than he's had me. Ha.

Oh, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I have dogs of my own, and understand. It was so sweet that she passed in a napping repose in a favorite spot. There is something very peaceful about that.
Perhaps you can get a replica stuffed doll to keep nearby so that you can snuggle her memory at will?
Hugs.
