what the hell? That doesn't even look like the same girl. I think it's absolutely ridiculous when they use a model from the 80's or someone like Sharon Stone and airbrush the hell out of their photos although I'm sure Grace Jones still looks like this

The crook ransacked a bedroom, stealing cufflinks, medals, gold buttons and tie pins. But he ran into trouble after going into the sitting room where he tried to cover [91-year-old] Mr Hook's head and told him to hand over all his money. The ex-sheriff - who said he was known as "Hang 'em Hook" in his 30 years on the bench - said: "The chap walked in and stuck this thing over my face. "He didn't scare me in the slightest - in fact I like a bit of fisticuffs. "He gave me a black eye - so I gave him one back. He probably thought he had got lucky when he saw me. To coincide with what has become the semi-official Star Wars Day - May the fourth be with you - TomTom yesterday launched Star Wars voice options for its navigation devices, starting with Darth Vader. C-3PO will arrive in June, Yoda in July and Han Solo in August. "Now, Star Wars fans around the world can unite their passion for Star Wars with their love of the road, making every drive more personal and exciting." says Alain Pakiry, senior vice president for marketing at TomTom. Vader's instructions include: "Bear left, to the dark side. Then in 200 yards you have reached your destination. The Force is with you, but you are not a Jedi yet." It's got the heavy breathing, too. And there are original sound effects from the films, including lightsaber sounds and TIE fighter flybys - even the theme tune. www.tgdaily.com/mobility-features/49636-darth-vader-takes-to-the-roads-with-tomtom

That sounds cool, but I'd be too distracted by Vader and Yoda, I'd miss my turns.

In an unexpected twist, Volkswagen recently unveiled a two-wheeled electric bicycle at this year’s Auto China Show. Dubbed the bik.e (yes, that’s how it’s spelled), the sleek portable cycle is capable of folding down to the size of a spare tire and has range of 12.5 miles and a top speed of 12.5 mph (the fastest speed allowed by electric vehicles for passengers to go without helmets in Germany). Volkswagen has announced plans to actually roll out the bike as a “mobility enhancer” option on their autos, as the bike can be replenished by a vehicle’s DC current.

To all our British friends: good luck at the polls today. I'm worried that the Conservatives are going to come out on top but maybe there will be some surprises. Hopefully Labour's mistakes haven't cost you the next few years worth of progress. Oh, and try to keep the BNP from having any actual say in things. Best of luck.

As and FYI, one way to check how "out there" the information in your profile is, is to look yourself up in a different browser, or when you're not logged in (well, that's how I did it). Anyhow... Hey, Facebook: You Have Some Serious Privacy and Security ProblemsFirst, I need to get something off my chest. This blog, Thank You For Not Sharing (TY4NS), was not intended to be All Facebook, All The Time. It's supposed to be about privacy and social media in general. But to paraphrase Michael Corleone, every time I try to get away from Facebook, they pull me back in. OK, now I feel better. On to today's items. Item #1: Last time out I wrote about Facebook's failure to make parts of my profile private, despite all efforts on my part to do so. I also noted how incredibly difficult it is to go private on Facebook (ie, the 50-click problem), and suggested they adopt a simple, one-click solution. www.pcworld.com/article/195722/hey_facebook_you_have_some_serious_privacy_and_security_problems.html
