I was happy to see that the smoke monster got a job in another series, even if he was only in the premiere until they trapped him in a giant peach pit or whatever. I'll watch a couple more to see how it plays out, there's some potential there but I agree that so far it's pretty much the Amazon Witch Project. Although I'd like to see what was up with the water walking and fire holding stuff, that looked kind of cool. I watched the 3rd episode last night and it appears that there will be a theme: "This looks dangerous, we could all die." "Sounds good, let's go."

yeah, that's pretty much what we have been yelling at, buddha. Sure, they want to find dude, but do they have to be all cliched stupidness about it?
I think if they find the source Hurley will be there with Ben chillin' and sh!t.

Yeah, I guess it's been OK so far otherwise, but not great.
And I don't particularly care for the "vague evil organization with an agenda that wants 'The Source' for its own nefarious plans" thread running through the story but I suppose there has to an antagonist other than jungle gremlins.

If they would do something with that story line it might be okay.

I guess I'm just tired of the 'shadow agency/malevolent faceless corporation' trying to get its grubby paws on our tasty, tasty Amazon magic.
Wankers, tools and dickfaced douchemonkies, the whole lot of them!

I agree, buddha. I would prefer for there to not be a Dharma/Hanso type group lurking in the shadows of this show. i would rather the creepiness factor of the environment and its natural denizens be the lurkers.

Yeah, I'd go with the unbalanced, possibly evil Shaman that wants to destroy the filthy white men for wheezing their delicious Amazon jungle magic.

I thinkt he Smoke Monster ought to win this time. Is it me, or did Sawyer lose a lot of weight? And his twang? And holy ****, in the last epi, some chick actually said "I'm coming with you" and I almost choked. I like the creepieness of the show, but I can't see it going more than one season. I mean, how long can we watch them traipse though the jungle? With that boat? Sooner or later they have to run aground.

I am glad to see the Smoke Monster escaped from his peach pit prison so he could rustle some trees in this episode and not have his union card go to waste.
How did Emmet and Rabbit know the exact special spot in the trees to be safe from "IL TUNCHI" with out Kate there to show them and that counting to five always works ?
If there is a season two maybe we will see Emmet's crew from the beginning of their journey (say 48 days worth) in the jungle and how they come together with Tess's groups to become one or they may discover 'others' living far out in the jungle in nice homes with running water, soft beds, and canned food. There is always the old reliable jumping ahead into the future to when everyone has made it home safe and sounds to fall back on if they can't come up with anything else ..... oh wait .... never mind.
